so.
I've pondered this subject a lot. Around the age of 13, I started to wonder whether or not being true to my birth sex was being true to myself. I guess I've sort of landed on masculine-aligned nonbinary. that's what I'd tell a stranger who'd ask. but its more complex.

I dunno about y'all, but I don't deeply resonate with the nonbinary flag. I think that's okay, and part of its design. each stripe represents a type of person who doesn't fall strictly in the girl-boy gender binary. but that's why i can't relate to it. it's an umbrella that includes me, not a straight-up representation of me.

enter the chaos that is my own personal pride flag.

this thing came to me in a sudden burst of inspiration. something nearly a vision. i swear i could have been a mystic saint or an oracle in another place and time. to be understood, it requires a detailed explanation.

YELLOW STRIPE

This stands for joy and euphoria. this is how it feels to know 'this is me. this is who i want to be.', could also reference the turning of base metals into gold in alchemy as a symbol for transcendence.

MAGENTA AND CYAN STRIPE

The magenta stands for 'outwardness'. qualities that assert themselves. passion, anger, bravery, confidence, sexuality. The cyan stands for 'inwardness'. qualities that draw others inward. calmness, kindness, loyalty, protection of the weak. They blend together in the middle, representing both qualities ideally being present in the right amounts.

BLACK STRIPE

This stands for isolation. the loneliness that comes with being the only person who will ever fully understand yourself. the pain and struggle of living. emo shit like that.

OUROBOROS

A reminder that the process of growth and self-discovery never stops as long as you live. most of the design of the beast is based off of what i felt vibed with me personally.

CMYK COLORS

References creation: art stuff, but also becoming the person you aspire to be

if anybody vibes with this and wants to claim allegiance to it, go ahead! but under one condition. you MUST take the symbolism into account, and make tweaks on it according to your own personal experience and resonance. PLEASE customize your ouroboros. you dont even have to use ouroboros. anything that represents growth and self-discovery to you. also this microidentity has no name, and is honestly more ideological than anything? i've thought of calling it 'chrysopoeian nonbinary', or something weird like 'ouroboros knighthood'. are you a boy or a girl? i'm a knight of the ouroboros. honestly it doesnt need a name other than 'Nebby's gender'.
